Hawzah News Agency- According to the university’s public relations office, the event will feature prominent scholars from the seminary and academia, including Hojatoleslam Seyyed Abolhassan Navab, founder of the University of Religions and Denominations; Ayatollah Mustafa Mahami, representative of the Supreme Leader in Sistan and Baluchistan Province and Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan; Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi, secretary of the Imam Khomeini (RA) World Award; Dr. Gholamreza Rezaei, rector of the University of Sistan and Baluchistan; and Dr. Ehsan Samani, associate professor at the university’s Faculty of Theology.
The Imam Khomeini (RA) World Award — regarded as the highest international distinction of the Islamic Republic of Iran — seeks to promote and deepen understanding of Imam Khomeini’s intellectual and practical legacy at both national and global levels.
The award encompasses a range of scientific and artistic fields through ten thematic committees, including “Introducing the Thoughts and Conduct of Imam Khomeini (RA),” “Promoting Ethics, Mysticism and Monotheistic Spirituality,” “Justice, Freedom and Human Dignity,” “Advancement of Modern Islamic Civilization,” “Unity among Islamic Schools and Dialogue with Religions,” “Service to the Oppressed,” “Resistance against Arrogance and Zionism,” “Just Peace and Collective Security,” “Religious-Based Lifestyle,” and “The Role of Women and Family-Centered Values.”
As part of its international outreach, the award program includes pre-conferences hosted at universities in Iran and abroad. Organizers have also announced the possibility of submitting new works in the run-up to the main event.
